CORONAVIRUS UPDATE – IN LINE WITH GOVERNMENT ADVICE THE CENTRE WILL CANCEL ITS TUESDAY AND SUNDAY SERVICES AND ITS HEALING SERVICE UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE
It has been a very difficult decision for the committee to make in regards to closing the Centre but public safety has to come first. We cannot risk the health of our congregation, mediums or committee and volunteer helpers.
We will review the situation after Easter and will keep you updated via this website and our Facebook page, so do check regularly please.
Although our healing service will also be closed we can still give absent healing so do not hesitate to email us with any requests or queries.
Billericay Spiritualist Centre has existed since 1945, starting off as Billericay Spiritualist Church in rented rooms above The Blue Boar in the High Street. Today the Centre occupies its own building in West Park Crescent in Billericay.
The Centre has a demonstration of mediumship every Tuesday evening from 8-9pm.
On the first Sunday of each month, from 6.30-8pm, there is a Divine Service which includes an address, music, and a demonstration of mediumship.
The Centre has a number of registered healers who are trained and insured through their affiliation to the Spiritualist National Union.
Healing is held every Monday evening (apart from Bank Holidays) at the Scout Hut (behind the fire station) in Laindon Road, Billericay.
OBITUARY FOR ELAINE BRAME
Elaine was a spiritualist medium, healer and teacher for the majority of her adult life. Together with her husband Stephen she helped to run Billericay Spiritualist Centre for most of the 1990’s acting as treasurer and secretary for many years. She was made an Honorary Vice-President in recognition of her years of service to the Centre.
Elaine not only supported Billericay but other churches in East London whilst serving as part of the SNU East London District Council. Her knowledge of procedure for both church administration and healing was outstanding and on many occasions she was able to provide advice and guidance to us all.
Elaine sadly passed to the higher realms on the 21st January 2020 following a short illness. Her funeral will be at 1430 on Monday 17th February at Chelmsford Crematorium and after at Bardswell Social Club, Bardswell Close, Brentwood.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Elaine as she progresses in the spirit realms and our heartfelt sympathy goes out to Stephen and her children Chris, Richard and Antoinette and family.
